LOCATION
§ IWHERE

Vrbovec, north-east of Zagreb.

Imperial Motorworks sits in a quiet town in Zagreb County, roughly thirty kilometres north-east of the Croatian capital. The workshop occupies one of four units at the shared site; Food International occupies the other three. Map services may therefore show the location under that name.

§ IIACCESS

Onto the A4 via the D10. Forty to the airport.

The A4 motorway — the main north-south route between Hungary and the Adriatic — is reached in minutes via the D10 expressway that runs past the town. Zagreb's international airport (ZAG) is about forty minutes by road. For visitors flying in to inspect a project, both are comfortable.

We organise vehicle transport across the European Union as part of every restoration. In selected cases the workshop owner personally collects classics that should not be moved on a trailer, or when the owner prefers an unusually careful handover.

§ IIIDRIVING DISTANCES

A day's drive from DACH.

From a client's home in central Europe, the workshop is genuinely accessible. Approximate driving times for the most common origins:

Munich
~ 7 hours
Vienna
~ 4 hours
Salzburg
~ 5 hours
Graz
~ 3 hours
Zürich
~ 10 hours
Milan
~ 8 hours

Times indicative — based on uninterrupted motorway driving without border delays.

§ IVCUSTOMS

Inside the European Union since 2013.

Croatia is a full member of the European Union, the Schengen Area and the eurozone. There is no customs procedure for vehicles moving between the workshop and other EU member states, no VAT re-import friction, and no currency complication for DACH clients. For UK and Swiss clients we handle customs paperwork on commission.
